About six dots counselling

My name is Kelly Barton and I decided to set up six dots counselling primarily to provide a sight loss counselling service for people in the Sefton and Merseyside area (and much further afield via online & telephone counselling) because I recognise that there is a very specific need for people who are losing their sight, and for those who are blind or visually impaired, to receive counselling support from someone who can truly understand and empathise.
Kelly Barton sat at her desk in an office environment.

I was born with a severe visual impairment and therefore fully comprehend the barriers and difficulties that people with sight loss may face, in all areas of life.

I am a fully qualified counsellor and use both person-centred counselling and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) or a mix of both, depending on the need of my client.

I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (BACP) and work within the BACP's ethical framework to ensure that I practice counselling in a safe, secure and ethical way.

Aside from sight loss counselling, I provide a general counselling service and have experience of working with clients who are tackling a wide variety of issues.
